    <abstract locale="en_US">A radioimmunoassay method for direct determination of eIF-2 concentration in reticulocyte lysate has been developed. This assay method measures eIF-2 concentratio ns in nanogram range. A value of 40 pmol eIF-2 per ml of reticulocyte lysate was obtained.</abstract>

    <abstract locale="en_US">The IPSID in its severe cases invades the lymph no-ces, mesenterium, and abdominal viscera resembling NNL *Low grade) ~ Diarrhea and malabsorption were present in all of the 15 patients under study. Iloreover, 14 patients were suffering from obvious weight loss more than 10 peresented mild anemia together with the increased IgA in the se~~m. Clubbing was also present in two thirds of the patients. Chemotherapy alone or combined with radiotherapy caused rapid regression of the disease. The patients had comparatively long survival. see table 4) .</abstract>

    <abstract locale="en_US">Following a nuclear explo sion, the radioactive materials descend t o the earth. Most of the act i v i t y results from fis sion fragments. Therefore, new atoms created when heavy a toms such as uranium and plutonium are fissioned. Atoms made radioactive by neutron capture are a:50 important.
If the explosion is sufficiently high in the air, it takes months to years for most of t he resulting finely dispersed par t icl e to settle (1&amp; 2). By t his time the gr eater pa r t o f "t he initial radioactivity has de caye d away. This delayed f allo ut covers the entire wor~d. Rain and snow help t o bring it down .     <abstract locale="en_US">Adamantinoma is a ,rare pr i mar y malignant tumor of &#x2022; the long bones wit h unknown pathogenesis . , So far only a few cases are r eported in t he l ite r ature (2 ,3 ,9 , 11,17) &#x2022; .Tibia is .t he major s ite o f predi lection , - howevex , the tumor a l so reported occasional ly i n other , l ong bones such as femur , f ibula , humerus , ulna and radius.( l;8 ,12 ) . . Most of the patients are i n the s e cond and ,t hir d decades of l ife. Rare l y fibr ous dysplasia (5) is a s s oc i a t ed with , adamantinoma of t he long bones . The symptoms a re l ong standing. The rout i ne r adiol ogic finding i s t hat of multiple lucent zones interspers ed with scleroti c bone,us ually wi th one l arge r arefied ' a r ea i n t he mid shaf t . Hist ologi ca lly, islands of epi t helial cells with peripheral -.pa l i s adi ng are seen in fibr ous s troma . Histogenesis of this tumor is not yet clear. But majority of the studies believe that of epithelial origin (6,15,16,18).Treatment depends upon the extent of tumor. If it is surgically feasible, resection of the tumor is the treatment of choice, if not, amputation. Here we report one case of adamantinoma of tibia and discuss clinicopathological findings.</abstract>
