The effect of cortisone 0n the experimental gastric ulcer produced by intrapentoncal . injection of histamine in the gUlnca pig is studicd. A reduction in the num er Of animals showing gastric ulcer in observed. The possible mcchamsm of this effect of cortisone is discussed
