A Study of Carcinoma of Oesophagus in Iran
Abstract
102 cases of carcinoma of the o-sophagus were studied classified and the following conclusions were drawn:
(a) Carcinoma of (esophagus is three times more frequent in Iranian
females.
(b) Carcinoma of post cricoid and upper third of the e-sophagus
amount to 17'/. of the cases and are equally distr-ibuted in male and
female patients.
(e) Carcinoma of cesophagus in the middle third is twice as COmmon
as the lower third in females.
